MY STORY
A former and recently retired D1 basketball player who wants to do all I can to affect the lives of those that are in a similar position to the one I was in. I started my career as many others do, without much fanfare or attention and was considered a "nerd" for the majority of my life. After being on the verge of quitting after my sophomore year and pursuing an academic scholarship, I was afforded the opportunity to compete on a high level AAU program by the name of Game Elite. I then parlayed that opportunity into 17 full-ride scholarship offers by my senior year, (one of which was an Ivy League institution). After an untimely injury, I committed to Florida Gulf Coast University and competed there for three years before transferring to Grambling State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree. My playing career was cut short after a series of knee injuries over my junior and senior seasons, but as it stands I can say I hold numerous block records as well as the all time block percentage record for the ASUN conference. My sole purpose is not only to help improve the basketball careers of many, but to also inspire others to push through adversity whether it be on or off the court.
